What is the Scholarship for Children of New Immigrants?
The National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, has established this scholarship program to encourage new immigrants and their children to pursue their studies in Taiwan. The program is divided into two main categories: "Excellence Scholarship" and "Hardship Scholarship," covering junior high school, senior high school, vocational high school, and college students.
Scholarship Amount
College/University: NT$8,000
Senior High/Vocational High School: NT$5,000
Junior High School: NT$3,000
Eligibility
Identity Requirement: The new immigrant or their child.
Academic Requirement: The student's overall average grade in the previous semester must be 75% or higher.
Additional Requirements for the Hardship Scholarship: Applicants must be from low-income households, lower-middle-income households, or families experiencing sudden hardship, as certified by the school.
Application Process
Online Application: During the application period, complete the online application form at the "New Immigrant Empowerment and Development Information Network".

- Mailing Documents: In some cases, a paper application form must be mailed to a designated address.
Important Notes
Each person can only apply for one category per semester.

Late applications will not be accepted. Please note the announcement dates in February and September each year.
