What is the Study Loan Interest Subsidy?
For students who apply for school loans, those who meet the conditions** will be fully borne by the government for interest during their studies** and do not have to pay interest before graduation.
Subsidy objects
- Current students who apply for school loans
- For families whose annual income is less than about $1.2 million, interest during the semester will be fully subsidized by the government
- If the income exceeds the threshold, interest during the semester may be borne at your own expense (as specified)

- Interest on student loans during the semester is fully borne by the government
- Interest calculation and repayment begin after graduation according to the loan deed
How to apply
- Apply for a school loan from the lending bank (such as Bank of Taiwan)
- Eligibility for interest subsidies by schools and banks based on household income

Notice of application/appropriation for student loan, identification of student and guarantor, proof of annual family income (as required by bank and school)
