FAQ

Q: If someone is over 40 years old and still receiving subsidies, will the subsidies stop immediately?

A: Yes, you will no longer be eligible for youth benefits starting from the month you turn 40, and the subsidy will terminate in that month. You can then apply for the general rent subsidy (if you still meet other eligibility requirements).

Q: If you and your partner are renting a place together, can you each apply for a separate application?

A: No, only one person from the same household can submit an application for the same rental address.

Q: How is the income limit calculated for someone who has just graduated and has no income?

A: The income in the year preceding the application year is used as the basis. If a recent graduate's income in the previous year was zero or extremely low, they usually meet the income requirements.
