Overseas Empowerment Program for New Immigrants and Their Children (Fully Subsidized)

New immigrants and their children will receive full subsidies for returning to their country of origin for more than 7 days during long holidays for cultural exploration, mother tongue learning, or corporate internships, with a maximum subsidy of NT$100,000.

Digital Literacy Enhancement Program for New Immigrants (Free Courses)

We offer 20 hours of free digital courses covering tablet operation, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and online service application. This aims to bridge the digital gap for new immigrants.

Chinese Language Learning Class for New Immigrants

Free, government-run Mandarin classes for new immigrants — the foreign or mainland-Chinese spouses and families of Taiwanese nationals — and their children. On a work or student visa instead? Subsidy for direct hiring of foreign caregivers

Families hiring foreign caregivers can now opt for direct hiring. They can apply for services from the Direct Hiring Joint Service Centre, which waives intermediary fees and provides free matching and document processing services from the government.

Subsidy for regular health check-ups for foreign migrant workers

For migrant workers legally employed in Taiwan, their employers are legally required to cover the cost of annual health checkups. If an employer illegally shifts the cost to the migrant worker, the worker can apply for a refund and file a complaint with the competent authority.

Incentive for new immigrants obtaining technical certification

New immigrants are encouraged to obtain national-level technical skill certificates to improve their professional skills. A reward of NT$2,000-4,000 is given for Level C certification, and NT$4,000-8,000 for Level B certification.
