Children of new immigrants (foreign nationals or spouses from mainland China) attending elementary, junior high, or high school can apply for tuition and miscellaneous fee subsidies and additional educational resources provided by various counties and cities to help them integrate into school life.
Emergency relief fund for new immigrants
New residents in Taiwan (foreign nationals or spouses from mainland China) who encounter major emergencies (illness, domestic violence, unemployment, natural disasters, etc.) can apply for emergency relief funds from the social affairs bureau of their registered residence county or city, which can reach up to tens of thousands of NT dollars.
New immigrant adaptation guidance course (free)
The National Immigration Agency provides free life adaptation guidance courses for foreign spouses and new immigrants in Taiwan, covering topics such as Taiwanese culture, legal knowledge, language learning, health, and employment, to help them integrate into life in Taiwan.
New immigrant interpreter dispatch service
Free professional interpreters are provided to assist new residents with communication in public spaces such as medical facilities, judicial offices, administrative offices, and schools. Supports 7 languages.
Multilingual service for new immigrant driver's license exams
We offer free test questions and pronunciation guidance in eight languages, enabling new immigrants who do not speak the language to take the test in their native tongue. The test bank includes Vietnamese, Hindi, Thai, English, Japanese, Korean, Cambodian, and Burmese.
Living allowance for children of families in special circumstances
Families meeting special circumstances (single parent, domestic violence, spouse's death, etc.) can receive a monthly living allowance of NT$3,235 per child under the age of 18.
Social assistance for pre-citizenship marriage immigrants (assistance for new immigrants before citizenship)
