What is the Kaohsiung City Birth Incentive Payment?
In addition to the prenatal taxi subsidy for pregnant women (好孕行得通), Kaohsiung City also provides a birth incentive payment — a one-time cash award for newborn families registered in the city.

Who Can Apply?
- At least one parent is registered in Kaohsiung City
- The newborn completes Kaohsiung City household registration after birth
- Application is submitted within the deadline (usually within 6 months of birth)

- Prepare: infant's household registration booklet, parent's ID, bank account booklet cover
- Apply at the District Office or Kaohsiung City Bureau of Social Affairs
- Inquire by calling 07-336-3665 or check the official website for online application options
- Funds are deposited after approval
Stack All Three Subsidies
Kaohsiung City residents with newborns can combine all three subsidies:
- Central Government Birth Allowance (NT$15,000 — nationwide)
- Kaohsiung City Birth Incentive Payment (this subsidy)
- 好孕行得通 Prenatal Taxi Subsidy (NT$9,000 in taxi vouchers for prenatal checkups)
Combined, eligible families can receive up to NT$74,000, significantly reducing the financial burden of having a new child.
