FAQ

Q: I work in Kaohsiung but my household registration is elsewhere. Can I apply?

A: No. Eligibility is based on household registration in Kaohsiung City, not where you work. Check if your home county or city has a similar program.

Q: Can I transfer the vouchers or exchange them for cash?

A: No. The vouchers are for personal use only when taking a taxi and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Q: Can I still use the vouchers after giving birth?

A: Yes. The vouchers are valid for one year from the issuance date. Postpartum follow-up visits and baby vaccination trips are both eligible — make sure to use them.

Q: Can foreign spouses (new immigrants) apply?

A: Yes. Foreign spouses holding a valid Taiwan residence permit whose spouse's household registration is in Kaohsiung City are eligible. You will need to provide your residence permit (front) and your spouse's ID card (both sides).

Q: Can I receive this voucher and the maternity allowance at the same time?

A: Yes. These are two separate programs with no conflicts, and you can apply for both.
