What is the Hsinchu City Birth Subsidy?
The Hsinchu City Government has established a birth subsidy system to encourage childbirth and alleviate the financial burden on families. Families with newborns who meet the household registration requirements can apply for a one-time cash subsidy.

Who can apply?
At the time of the newborn's birth, one of the parents must be registered residents of Hsinchu City.
The newborn must complete Hsinchu City household registration after birth.
Submit the application within the specified application period (usually within 6 months of birth).
Application Process
Prepare the following documents: Infant's household registration certificate, father's (or mother's) ID card, bankbook cover.
Go to the Social Affairs Department of the District Office where the household registration is located or the Hsinchu City Government Social Affairs Bureau.

After approval, the subsidy will be directly deposited into the applicant's account.
Notes
This subsidy can be received in conjunction with the central government's maternity allowance.

Late applications are usually not accepted; early application is recommended.
