FAQ

Q: Can I receive both the Penghu County maternity allowance and the central government's maternity subsidy at the same time?

A: Yes, they are different levels of subsidies, not mutually exclusive, and can be applied for and received at the same time.

Q: If only one spouse is registered in Penghu County, can they apply for [something]?

A: Yes, if either the father or mother is registered in Penghu County, the child is eligible, and the newborn must also complete the Penghu County household registration.

Q: What is the application period?

A: Applications are typically accepted within 6 months of the newborn's birth; applications submitted after this period will not be accepted. Please refer to the Penghu County Government's announcement for the current year.
